Marietas Island Snorkel
Marietas Island Snorkel
Enjoy an unforgettable experience during your time in port with a journey to the stunning Marietas Islands National Park, often known as the "Mexican Galapagos." Your adventure begins in Marina Vallarta, where you will board a small-group vessel and cruise across the scenic waters of Banderas Bay toward this protected UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The islands are renowned for their dramatic cliffs, sea caves, vibrant coral reefs, and extraordinary wildlife.
Explore lively reef sites full of tropical marine life such as king angelfish, Moorish idol, giant damselfish, parrotfish, butterflyfish, starfish, and colorful corals. With multiple snorkeling areas available, guests enjoy a safe and memorable opportunity to discover this thriving underwater ecosystem.
The islands provide habitat for blue-footed boobies, magnificent frigatebirds, pelicans, herons, and a variety of other seabirds. While cruising, you may also be fortunate enough to spot dolphins or sea turtles in their natural environment.
There may be an opportunity to visit the famous Hidden Beach, also known as Playa del Amor, depending on daily park regulations and availability. Access is limited to guests between the ages of 10 and 65, and entry cannot be guaranteed.
This tour is perfectly suited for guests visiting by cruise ship, offering a small-group setting for a more personalized experience, a short transfer from the cruise port, knowledgeable professional guides, and a timely return to port before your ship's departure.
Please Note: A $6 US per person port fee is not included and must be paid on the day of the tour.
The minimum age to participate is 8 years old, and access to Hidden Beach (if available) is restricted to ages 10–65 and is not guaranteed.
The tour is not available to pregnant women, those with limited mobility, or guests with heart, back, neck, high blood pressure, or recent surgery.
Life jackets must be worn at all times. Guests who are prone to motion sickness should take necessary precautions prior to the start of the tour.
